Backup Sets

A Backup Set is a named profile that contains your backup configuration. Each set includes one or more Folders, copying rules, encryption settings, and schedule.

Default Backup Set location

By default, the desktop app stores the active backup set under your roaming profile. Advanced users can change this via the CLI (archivst config set-default-backupset).

Creating a Backup Set

1. Open Archivst Desktop.
2. Click “New Backup Set”.
3. Choose a name and (optional) description.

Editing an existing set

Select the set from the main window and click “Edit”. You can rename the set, modify schedule, and manage folders.
